Workout Journal – 3/30/17 – X3 Yoga

I’m cheating a bit here. Instead of doing P90X Yoga, I’m subbing the shorter routine from P90X3. Why? Because why not?

Ok, in all seriousness, the P90X Yoga routine is too long by half, and the latter section – yoga belly 7 – is just silly. Why? Because it stresses the back and doesn’t flow the way a yoga routine should.

Also, X3 Yoga is just better. It’s more fun and, again, has a better flow to it.

Of course this is all just blah, blah, blah to most people, because, as Tony has pointed out often, people get weird about doing yoga and skip it for all sorts of silly reasons. Tough guys say, “I don’t need yoga.” And if I had a dollar for every person who refused to do yoga because they have been convinced it’s a religious practice that conflicts with their beliefs I’d have a wheelbarrow full of dollars.

Either way, you can work on strength and agility and endurance all you want, but if you lack mobility and flexibility, it won’t do you any good in the long run.
