The evil scale…

Kit Caldicott's Blog.

Such perfect timing. I have had conversations and online exchanges with at least a half-dozen people in the past week on the very subject addressed in Kit Caldecott’s blog above.

Kit, for those of you who don’t know, is Tony Horton’s sister, and a Beachbody coach.

Here’s the money quote:

Finally, the best measurement of changing your lifestyle for the better is in how you feel. Do you have more energy? Are you sleeping better? Do you feel more focused at work? Are you a little more patient with your kids? Aren’t these the reasons why we lose weight in the first place? Of course they are.

I really cannot say it any better than that. But I’ll add what I’ve said to the people I’ve talked to…

If you’re overweight, you know it. You do not need a daily or weekly or even monthly check in to tell you what you already know. It is going to take time for your body to change, but when it does, all the things Kit says above will be apparent. In the meantime, improve your nutrition, get more sleep and get regular exercise. Time, plus patience will equal results.
