Well, there's another part of Bull Durham that's absolutely classic. Tim Robbin's character, Nuke LaLoosh is on the mound and he's having a bad night. His catcher, Crash Davis, as played by Kevin Costner comes out to have a chat with him and soon the rest of the infield joins them and the conversation quickly drifts into territory that has nothing to do with the game at hand or even baseball. The bench coach, played by Robert Wuhl, comes out to see what's up, settles a couple of problems and gets them to go back to playing.
This is one of my favorite scenes in the movie because my own experience in baseball taught me that the conversations that occur on the mound often have nothing to do with the game. Sometimes they're just plain surreal. So I really liked this article from the Seattle Times and thought I'd share it with y'all.|||112286399060969915|||Mound visit...
